Olympic Boxer Adam Nolan Presents Bray Students with Certificates
“National Learning Network was the start of a new phase of my life. With their help I’m now a mature student in Trinity College”. These were the words of Liam Duggan, a former student at National Learning Network Bray who was a guest speaker at their Certification Ceremony which was held in the Royal Hotel.
Over 60 present and past students received FETAC certificates in a range of subjects from Business Administration to Employability Skills. They were joined by family and friends for the evening.
National Learning Network has been operating in Bray for over 15 years and are based in Beechwood Close, off the Boghall Road. They provide specialist rehabilitative training and education programmes in partnership with the HSE and SOLAS. They help people who, because of an accident, illness, a mental health setback or a disability, need extra support to move on to work or further education.
The certificates were presented by Adam Nolan, Olympic boxer and a member of An Garda Siochana based in Bray. Also in attendance were the Cathaoirleach of Bray Town Council, Tracy O’ Brien, Cllr. Sarah Wray, representatives of SOLAS and the HSE and many local organisations working in the health and education sectors.
