Free Cake and Hairstyles in Dundalk’s Presentation Competition!
Students in National Learning Network in Dundalk got free cakes, hair advice and the chance to learn alot more about their fellow students at the recenent ‘Personal Interests’ presentation competition. Grainne Matthews claimed top spot with her presentation of her baking recipes portfolio, with some goodies for everyone there to taste!
Orlaith Mackin won second prize with her portfolio on hairdressing which included stemming from ancient hairdressing , bridal hairstyles, men’s hairstyles and finishing with six photos of different up styles that she had completed on one of the other students. Orlaith finished by giving a live demonstration on an up style in the class! In third place was Nicki Cormican who gave a strong presentation on One Direction detailing her favourite band member Niall Horan. Nikki received a voucher for the local shopping centre. Some of the other projects included Transformers , Artwork , Healthy Living , Dundalk FC , Snowwhite and Beyonce.
The competition was held over four weeks and it gave students the opportunity to have a presentation on a topic they enjoyed. The range was interests was wide and the standard was excellent as everyone spoke passionately about their personal interest.
Well done to all of the students who completed the projects in their own time with the help of family and friends. And thanks to Eddie Maguires Electrical in Dundalk for sponsoring 1st and 2nd prizes of a blender and a hairdryer!
