National Adapted Physical Activity Conference for Tralee

The 4th Adapted Physical Activity Conference will take place in the Institute of Technology Tralee (IIT) on May 6 and 7, 2011

'APA in Ireland…are we there yet?’ is the theme of the conference which is organised by IIT in conjunction with the CARA National APA Centre Ltd and the Irish Sports Council. The conference is aimed at professionals involved in the provision of sport, physical activity and physical education for people with disabilities.
The conference aims to address the interests of all participants with a range of topics covered in the keynote addresses, round table discussions and parallel sessions. Highlights include a presentation by Peter Downs of the Australian Sports Commission on Australian efforts to facilitate the participation of people with disabilities in sport, while John Treacy of the Irish Sports Council will give the Irish perspective.
